Job Title: APPROVED ELECTRICIAN
Service: To be based at our Office Milton Park though will be required to work regularly at and travel to all of our Client’s Properties.
Competitive Salary (£14-£17/ hr 40hr week)

Responsible to: Electrical Manager
Job Purpose: To undertake electrical maintenance, repairs, installation and upgrading work on a planned and reactive basis to ensure that the client’s properties can be operated safely and in compliance with appropriate regulatory standards and good practice. To assist with and supervise the work of external electrical contractors undertaking larger projects.
Experience working as a fully qualified electrician
A knowledge and understanding of health & safety regulations
City & Guilds 2360 (part 1 and 2)
City & Guilds 2382 (17th Edition)
City & Guilds 2391 / 4&5 (testing & inspecting)
Valid driving licence
To carry out electrical work of all types in domestic and commercial buildings and be fully conversant with all aspects of electrical installation works on systems of 230- and 400-volt systems.
To carry out periodic inspection and testing to include completion of relevant test certification in accordance with IEE wiring regulations. To complete other forms of electrical certification as may be appropriate (i.e. fire alarms, emergency lighting, PATs, etc.).
To carry out and complete all works to a high standard, in a competent manner and to leave the site of works in a clean and tidy condition.
To liaise with other staff and external contractors in a positive and cooperative manner and as necessary to ensure the timely and proper completion of works to support reasonable operational expectations.
To ensure appropriate and timely completion of all paperwork, job/time sheets and certification.
To work with line manager and provide advice and information relating to technical matters.
Ensure that any required qualifications for this position remain valid and that any necessary training is arranged and undertaken in accordance with appropriate timescales. To attend meetings, training sessions and conferences as required.
To participate and provide an out of hours emergency service on a periodic basis and in association with the input of others.
To act at all times in accordance with the Companies rules, policies, procedures and ethos.
To supervise, direct and positively motivate junior staff and/or apprentices who may be appointed to assist and support the wider performance of this role
To carry out, as and when required, any additional tasks and responsibilities as are reasonably compatible with this job description and its objectives.
